“Youth in Action – Together for development” is a project submitted by our Polish partner SWM under the call for YiA 3.2. At the moment the decision of the has not yet been communicate to SWM. The project is an answer to the identified needs of Peruvian and Ghanian Youth who need to be strengthened and supported in terms of non-formal education and youth participation in order to support civil society and democratization process. Through promotion of voluntary service in all partner’s countries and development issues in the programme’s countries we will strengthen the civil society and democracy in general. The project actions aims to provide equal opportunities for young people in Peru and Ghana to build their leadership skills for active participation and civil society. Project actions will target youth, aged 18-30 from Piura region (Peru), Odumese-Sunyani region (Ghana), Poland and Greece. The activities include a preparation meeting, training courses, study visits, workshops, information campaigns, voluntary service, the development of educational materials, … The international secretariat of Don Bosco Youth-Net is involved in the project on the level of the dissemination of results. It will help report on the project during implementation and act as partner in the promotion and multiplication of the outcomes afterwards throughout the network. Furthermore DBYN considers this project as a pilot project, which will serve as a case study for future initiative under the grant call YiA 3.2. as Don Bosco Youth-Net.
