SPYS.int is many projects within a project, by and for young people who are interested in havinga voluntary experience abroad offering young people the opportunity to make adifference through its voluntary network based in different parts of the world.
SPYS.inthas already sent a good number of young people overseas on different projectsover the past few years of existence. The projects available vary from group toindividual experiences, from child care to IT support, from Asia to Europe andAfrica.
In order to prepare the volunteers beforesetting off on their projects, SPYS.int organizes a series of trainings yearlythat are held monthly from January to June. The aim of the training is to provide the next intake ofvolunteers with necessary tools that will be useful once they are engaged inthe practical work. These formation sessions cover topics related to theSalesian system, intercultural learning, working and living in a community andloneliness among others, ingrained through the use of role-plays, walks, sessions and reflection moments. Ultimately, they convey Don Bosco’s spirit asa way of life.
SPYS.intthrives at managing these trainings ensuring that each session is necessary andworthwhile with an added enjoyable aspect. These training sessions help in theformation of up coming volunteers by creating awareness about the projects, thecountries and the best interests in a given community and its surroundingenvironment. SPYS.int supports the volunteers even throughout the stay abroad andafter their return.
