STEP 2 - Empower and involve From the 4th to the 11th of April, the training course "Empower and Involve" took place in Benediktbeuern. It was organized by Don Bosco Youth Net and sponsored by the EU "Youth in Action"-Programme. 25 participants from 13 countries came together to learn more about project management and how to actively create new projects, both in their respective home countries as well as around the whole of Europe. The content of this training course was focused on knowing all the necessary steps in creating, submitting and evaluating projects in youth work. Three trainers of the DBYN's pool of trainers provided training sessions, workshops and (self)reflection. Through adapting a non-formal learning style, the general purpose lay on facilitating better understanding of the opportunities and challenges that come with European youth project management. Now half the time of my internship is gone and I like to resume my experiences. At the first days I was living in a guesthouse for students while I was looking for a place to live this half year. After one week I found an available room in a student house not far from work. But I was shocked that Leuven is so expensive! Never the less I had to take this room because I was under pressure to move out of the guesthouse and didn't have time to look for something else. Furthermore I had to open a Belgium account and to get to know the town a little bit. I was supported by a very helpful woman Lieve van Aershot and my college Rein Meus. Thank you! Normally it is not our tradition of making publicity for commercial products. However this time it is different. With animoto you can easily make good looking films which you can use for online publicity, but also for DVDs. It is a very easy tool to work with, and the results look professional. Normally you need to pay for an account. However if you are using it for a "cause", your organisation can get free access. As INGYO we got this accreditation. The reason for publishing this news, is that it could also be an interesting tool for our other member organisations. So, if you are looking for an easy way of making professional-looking video, check out their website. More info: www.animoto.com
