The strategic planning of Don Bosco Youth-Net ivzw is laid out in a 3 year master plan. Every 3 years our full member organisations decide on a set of priorities, which focus the work we want to do. They also link specific actions to those priorities, so the plan is rooted in practice.
On top of that there is an general aim for each period:
- DBYN's master plan 2003 - 2005 focussed on building the network. We started the network in 2001 with the financial support of the EU YOUTH programme. We had a 1 year contract. One of the question, we had to solve during this year was if it was realistic to start-up a network. The answer to this question was the first master plan, which builded up the fundaments of the network.
- DBYN's master plan 2006 - 2008 focussed on strengthening the network, which was build up during the first master plan. The fundaments were ready, but the house now needed to be constructed. We focussed on setting up actions which help to increase the involvement of young people on all levels of our organisational structure.
- DBYN's master plan 2009 - 2011 is focussed onthe expansion of the network. Over the last 2 master plans we have constructed a framework for our network. Now this development process is finished, we need to start functioning on full power. This means involving more young people, reaching out for young people with fewer opportunities, make sure the member organisations can start-up more projects together, etc.
