Our toolbox collects everything which is useful to have on the website, but which doesn't fit into one of the other categories. Basically it is a database of resources. Some are available for all, others only for registered users. There are 6 categories:
This toolbox contains methods, links, materials, presentations, and other useful things used and created during the youth exchange 'Intercultural Crossroads in Europe':
"Advocacy is speaking up, drawing a community's attention to an important issue, and directing decision-makers toward a solution. Advocacy is working with other people and organisations to make a difference".
From the 4th to the 11th of April, the training course "Empower and Involve" took place in Benediktbeuern. It was organized by Don Bosco Youth Net and sponsored by the EU "Youth in Action"-Programme. 25 participants from 13 countries came together to learn more about project management and how to actively create new projects, both in their respective home countries as well as around the whole of Europe. The content of this training course was focused on knowing all the necessary steps in creating, submitting and evaluating projects in youth work.
"From experience ... to action" is a seminar for ex-volunteers which took place in Munich 19-22 November 2009. The ideo of this meeting was to motivate ex-volunteer who have an experience in European and/or international voluntary service to become more actively involved in DBYN. On this page we collect all the materials used (expect for the pictures), so everyone can download this easily.

This is necessary because communication is an issue in each organisation: the larger the organisation, the bigger the issue. Our network is an international organisation, which increases the difficulties in communication.
"To represent the voice of the Don Bosco Youth, via the members and to defend their interests at international level." As such defined the founding members of Don Bosco Youth-Net ivzw one of its statutory aims. Through our first ad hoc efforts it became clear that if we want to make our voice heard, we need to structure this type work.
The strategic planning of Don Bosco Youth-Net ivzw is laid out in a 3 year master plan. Every 3 years our full member organisations decide on a set of priorities, which focus the work we want to do. They also link specific actions to those priorities, so the plan is rooted in practice.
On top of that there is an general aim for each period:
Don Bosco Youth-Net is a part of the worldwide Don Bosco Movement. This movement is based on the legacy of its founder: Don Bosco. Don Bosco developed an educational system based on a dialogue between the Christian tradition and the needs of the society he was living in. It is this educational system which still connects all people active in the Don Bosco Movement today; Don Bosco’s working style is our common denominator.
