'Crossing Borders’ is a 6 day youth exchange on intercultural learning and migration, aiming at introducing local volunteers to international youth work. Volunteers from 16 years onwards can apply for this activity. The venue for this activity is the Aktionszentrum Benediktbeuern (DE), taking place from 31/07/2016 until 07/08/2016. Are you active as a volunteer in a Salesian centre, an Oratorio, a youth club or a summer playground? Would you like to get to know Don Bosco volunteers from other countries and learn how you can work together? Are you moved by the current European migration crisis, refugees arriving in Europe, internally displaced people in Ukraine, migrant children active in your youth clubs, ... or do you have a migrant background yourself ?
This summer Don Bosco Youth-Net is organising a European youth work in Benediktbeuern (Germany), where you can meet 50 Don Bosco volunteers from all over Europe, living and learning together about intercultural learning and migration, aiming at introducing. We will be looking for answers Don Bosco volunteers can offer to young people which lives are affected by migration. The European youth week aims at volunteers (16-25) which haven’t got an international experience in the Don Bosco Movement yet. The week takes place at the Aktionszentrum Benediktbeuern (DE), taking place from 31/07/2016 until 07/08/2016. This is a beautiful Salesian centre in Southern Bavaria, allowing us to combine fun training sessions with outdoor activities like hiking and swimming. Are you interested in taking part?
